May 2006 29.5.2006 06:55 CAIRNS: COUNCIL TENANTS FACE “MASSIVE OPPORTUNITY” Inverclyde’s Labour MP has told a meeting of local party members that Council tenants face a “massive opportunity” when they vote on transferring their tenancy to a new Housing Association in a few months time. 16.5.2006 15:00 MP PRAISES COMMITMENT OF FOSTER FAMILIES Inverclyde MP David Cairns is backing Foster Care Fortnight, which runs until 21st May, and is urging local families to think about giving a home to a child in need. There are currently around 2,600 foster carers in Scotland and 28 of them foster for Inverclyde.
