CAIRNS: COUNCIL TENANTS FACE “MASSIVE OPPORTUNITY”
Inverclyde’s Labour MP has told a meeting of local party members that Council tenants face a “massive opportunity” when they vote on transferring their tenancy to a new Housing Association in a few months time.

MP PRAISES COMMITMENT OF FOSTER FAMILIES
Inverclyde MP David Cairns is backing Foster Care Fortnight, which runs until 21st May, and is urging local families to think about giving a home to a child in need. There are currently around 2,600 foster carers in Scotland and 28 of them foster for Inverclyde. But there is a national shortage of foster parents, and Inverclyde alone needs about another 20 families just to cope with all the children who need care.
