SAFETY OF BETTING SHOP WORKERS RAISED WITH MINISTER
The campaign for safer working conditions for the people employed in Inverclyde’s 20 betting shops stepped up a gear when Labour MP David Cairns met with the Employment Minister, Pat McFadden MP at his office in the Department for Business in Westminster. David presented the Minister with a survey of local betting shops carried out by the Community Union, in which a staggering 80% of workers said they had suffered abuse.
