2006: A YEAR OF PROGRESS
Inverclyde’s had good news in the last few weeks. Our hospital has been saved, River Clyde Homes are set to invest millions in our public housing and the Waterfront is slowly returning to life. But we cannot be complacent; Inverlcyde faces important challenges in 2007 and it’s vital that we take the right decisions in the coming year.

PRE-BUDGET REPORT SHOWS WHY LABOUR IS BEST FOR INVERCLYDE
David Cairns MP today welcomed the Pre-Budget Report unveiled by Chancellor of the Exchequer Gordon Brown, as “the right decisions for the long term future of Scotland, Inverclyde and Britain.

WINTER FUEL ALLOWANCE IS ON ITS WAY
Many of Inverclyde’s 16,000 pensioners have already received their Winter Fuel Allowance, and local MP David Cairns is keen to make sure that nobody misses out on what is rightfully theirs. Payments, some of which are as much as £300, began going out in late November and every pensioner should have their money by Christmas.
