PARENTS URGED TO CLAIM THIER CHILD TRUST FUND MONEY
Every baby born in Inverclyde is entitled to a £250 nest egg from the Child Trust Fund, and local MP David Cairns is determined to make sure they get their money. David’s launched a campaign in Inverclyde’s Nurseries and Playgroups to make parents aware of the payment, and help anyone who is having difficulty getting their child’s money. Leaflets and posters have gone out to all local childcare providers explaining about the Child Trust Fund and urging anyone who experiences problems getting the money to contact David.

"CLAIM YOUR WAR VETERANS' LAPEL BADGE" URGES INVERCLYDE MP
Local MP David Cairns has been helping Inverclyde’s old soldiers apply for special commemorative Veterans’ Lapel Badges, which the Ministry of Defence is giving to those who served in the armed forces during World War II and to war widows. The handsome lapel badges, which come in their own presentation case and have a special certificate from the Ministry of Defence in Whitehall, are proving popular with Inverclyde veterans and David has already applied for almost 40 badges for local pensioners.
