April 2009
Constituency
During April I visited both St Francis’ and St Laurence’s Primary schools and I also had the opportunity to go along to the Rainbow Centre in Port Glasgow. Later in the month I went along to the Maxi Richard’s Foundation to see the work they do and I also attended the opening of the Ardgowan Hospice Charity shop and visited Unity Enterprises in Greenock. I had meetings with Chief Superintendent Main regarding crime in Inverclyde, spoke to Network Rail, met senior managers from TSC and also met with Inverclyde Employment Rights about funding.
Westminster
April was a busy month at Westminster and involved me meeting with T-Mobile senior staff about their recent business decisions. Additionally I attended meetings of the oil and gas group, a reception for veterans returning from Afghanistan and Iraq and I went along to meet representatives from breast cancer charities.
Surgeries
I had numerous surgeries this month including ones in Boglestone in Port Glasgow, the Salvation Army in Regent Street, the Parliamentary Office, Craigend Resource, Branchton Community Centre, Wemyss Bay, Inverkip and Kilmacolm
